v0.0.4 - More Photo Management Improvements!

Another week, another update! This one's a little smaller than usual, but it does bring one much needed change: an overhaul of the photo management system. Yes, we made changes to the photo management system last week. And the week before that. But being such a core feature of the game, getting the photo management system right is essential. So, here's what we've done:

Delete Individual Photos

Took a photo that's not quite right? Too similar to your other photos? Photobombed by a passing bird? Fear not, because at long last, we've added in the ability to delete individual photos. Simply open up your guide book and hover over the photo you want to delete. Click on the red circle, then the green tick, and your photo is gone forever. Of course, if you don't want to delete the photo, and just clicked the red circle by accident, you can back out of this action by clicking the red cross instead.

Delete Photos of Specific Bird

We actually added this feature in last week's update, but we've since refined it slightly to add in a confirmation prompt. Now, you can sleep soundly knowing that it's impossible to delete every single photo of your favourite bird by accident.

So what else is new?

Of course, these changes alone don't sound like much of an 'overhaul', but rest assured, we've actually refined a lot of scripts behind the scenes to make this new system work as smoothly as possible. Bear in mind that you can still only store up to four photos of each bird, at least for the time being, and the option to erase all photos in the entire guide book is still accessible via the settings menu.

Aren't you forgetting something?

Nope, that's pretty much everything for this update. Well, apart from...

New Bird - Blackbird

You didn't think we'd release an update without adding a new bird, did you? Of course not! Last week, we added in the positively tiny wren, so this week we're going big. Well, bigger than we've had so far. Yes, this week's bird is the magnificent blackbird, a familiar sight to many and a welcome visitor to Skelburn Park. See it soaring majestically from branch to branch on the lookout for its next meal. You can't miss it!
